Drop the Snacks

Over eating at meals doesn't really seem to be the problem.  The average adult male can consume 2000 calories and maintain their weight.  Since I dont eat breakfast that means I could have 1000 calories each for lunch and dinner.  EASY!  If I don't snack.  7 tortilla chips is 140 calories.  A handful of peanuts is also 140 calories.  I use to keep a bag of Doritos beside me while I was cooking dinner.  The dinner may have been 700 calories but I would have consumed 400+ calories while preparing it.  Add that to a handful of peanuts everytime I walked past the pantry and I was way exceeding my 2000 calories per day.

Drop the snacks or at least account for them.  I have found that no sugar added apple Sauce makes a good 50 calorie snack.  Special K also makes a good breakfast bar that is 90 calories.

How it Works

This is going to sound like a no brainer but take it from someone who has always looked for the wonder diet.  This is the only way that has worked..

Eat Less, Exercise More.  Cut out snacks and unnecessary fillers.

I never have been a breakfast eater.  Everyone always says that you have to eat in the morning to get your metabolism going but I think that is BS.  Here is the reason.  Most of us are fairly inactive in the morning.  We get up and go to work.  If you are getting up and running or exercising in the morning before going to work you probably don't need to take my advise.  So if you get up in the morning and have breakfast you are probably going to consume around 200 calories minimum.  If you spend the rest of the morning sitting at a desk, your metabolism will increase about enough to burn those calories off by lunch time.  My solution.  Have a drink.  Coffee is ok if you drink it black.  Adding cream and sugar just adds a lot of calories to an otherwise low calorie drink.  I drink Celsius.  At 200mg of caffine per can and only 10 calories it is the pick up I need.  It also has some vitamins added in.  Now I have plenty of energy to get me to my 2pm lunch.

With sacrifice comes reward.  I sacrifice in the morning so I can enjoy lunch and dinner.

It feels GREAT!

I have lost almost 40 pounds in 3 months and I am loving it.  I want to share with you the great meals I have come up with in order to help me lose weight, have more energy, and feel great!

I plan to share daily menus with recipes, as well as log how my combination of eating and exercising has affected my daily weight.

I hope that you enjoy it, and maybe become inspired to get fit.
